Health Tips for Kids – Picky Eaters
Got picky eaters?
Have you ever noticed your kids having low appetites and being very picky when it comes time to eat? Of course you have! We’re talking about kids now! Some say their picky eaters. Maybe they’re just sitting around too much?
Too much sitting, watching TV and playing with their phones will not help them work up an appetite. They need to move! Get those feets a moving!
In find the winter time is the hardest time to be active. It can get very cold outside. I imagine, in hot climates, it can be the same but in reverse temperature-wise.
My kids are 8 and 4. When they were a little younger, like 2, 3 and even 4 I use to make them run in circles in the living room before lunch to work up an appetite! It was fun. I would place something in the middle of the floor for them to run around. I would then get on the floor on my hands and knees to be an obstacle they had to climb over or crawl under. As she comes around I would yell, “over the mountain! …Under the bridge!” They are growing out of that silliness and now I have to invent new ideas to keep them moving.
So if you got picky eaters give it a try! If you have young kids and they don’t eat well, get them moving before mealtime! Their sluggish body cells will come alive and suck up any nutrients hanging around to make room for more food in their little bellies.
