Chi Kung (Qigong) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) recognize the adverse influences on health by the contracting and expanding forces of nature throughout the year. This full access membership includes all 4 health rejuvenating exercise sets (Winter, Spring, Summer/Fall, Extended summer). The sets are combined in a specific order to influence the energetic function of corresponding organs and support your health through seasonal change.
Under TCM and Chi Kung principles the Winter set influences the kidney system and low back region. The Spring set influences the Liver system and the sides of the body. The Summer and Fall Set contains the same set of forms for both Summer and Fall seasons but with a different therapeutic intention corresponding to the upper torso relating to the Heart during Summer and Lungs during Fall. Proper intention is explained through guided instruction in this video series. The Extended Summer (core) set is commonly used to influence Spleen & Stomach function as well as the Triple Burner – a system under TCM and Chi Kung principles that is central to all body function. It is recommended to learn all 4 sets beginning with the corresponding set for the current season in combination with the core Extended Summer Set which is a fundamental set practice throughout the year. All sets can be practiced throughout the year or can be mixed and matched depending on your intention and need.
